Terms of Service

The short version
You pay monthly and can stop whenever you like, with no notice period and no exit fee. Your mail belongs to you and you can take it with you. Do not use the service to send spam or to break the law. If we get something badly wrong, we refund you.

1. Who you are contracting with
Huppmail is provided by The Lift FZE, FZH 572 SRT, Floor 04, Sheikh Rashid Tower, DWTC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). By creating an account you accept these terms.
2. What the service is
Huppmail is a hosted email service. It gives you a mailbox, a webmail client and an app to read it in, and, if you ask for it, brings an existing Gmail account across so that mail arrives in Huppmail instead. Mail is stored on servers in Belgium.
Bringing across an existing account relies on Google's own interfaces. We depend on those continuing to work and are not responsible if Google changes or withdraws them.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us as soon as possible if you think someone else has access. You must be at least 16, and the details you give us must be accurate.
4. Price and payment
Prices are shown on the website and are stated per month, in euro. The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. Payment is taken at the start of each period.
We may change prices. An existing subscriber will be told at least 30 days before a change applies to them, and may cancel before it takes effect.
5. Trial, cancellation and refunds
The trial lasts 14 days and needs no card. It ends by itself and turns into nothing if you do nothing.
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time, with no notice period. The service continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days from the start of a paid subscription to withdraw from it and be refunded. If you ask us to start the service straight away and then withdraw, we may keep the proportion corresponding to what you actually used. To withdraw, write to info@huppmail.com.
6. Your mail is yours
You keep every right in the content of your mailbox. We store and transmit it so the service can work, and for nothing else. We do not read it to build a profile, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising. See the Privacy Policy.
You can export your mail at any time while the account is open. It is standard email, so it moves to another provider without our permission.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use Huppmail to:
- send unsolicited bulk mail, or any message the recipient did not agree to receive;
- send anything unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to impersonate someone else;
- distribute malware, or run phishing;
- harass or threaten anyone;
- attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or the systems it runs on;
- resell the service without our written agreement.
We may suspend an account that is doing any of these, and we will tell you why. For a serious or repeated breach we may close the account. Where a suspension turns out to be our mistake, we restore the account and refund the affected period.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted. Maintenance, faults and third-party failures happen. We will give notice of planned maintenance where we reasonably can.
9. Our liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by these terms.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or business, or for data you have not kept a copy of elsewhere. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.
10. Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time. We may end the agreement on 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of section 7. If we end it for convenience, we refund the unused part of what you have paid.
After closure you have 30 days to export your mail, after which it and its backups are deleted.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. For a change that materially affects you, we will write to the address on your account at least 30 days beforehand. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before it takes effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
